The Department of Sport, Leisure & Childhood Studies (Bishopstown Campus, Cork) offers a suite of programmes in the broad Health-Exercise-Sport Science (HEX-SPO) domain.
Since its inception, an ongoing objective of the SLCS Department has been to embed an inherent research culture within all academic activities; from undergraduate level through to postgraduate study options at both Level 9 and 10 in the domains of ‘Health, Exercise & Sport Sciences’.

Our undergraduate suite of programmes comprise the

(i) BSc (Hons) in Coaching Science & Sports Pedagogy,

(ii) BBus (Hons) in Sport & Exercise Management,

and (iii) BBus in Recreation & Leisure Management (Level 7).

In addition, our Taught Postgraduate Programmes comprise the

(iv) MSc (PT) in Health & Wellbeing and the

(v) MSc in Skill Acquisition for Sport.

Futhermore, please note that the online Postgraduate Certificate in Health and Wellbeing programme is delivered jointly by University College Cork, UCC (the co-ordinating institution) and Munster Technological University, MTU in Cork. The Postgraduate Certificate is part of our new suite of Health & Wellbeing programmes and on successful completion of the Postgraduate Certificate, you can progress to Postgraduate Diploma and subsequently MSc level.

The Postgraduate Certificate in Health and Wellbeing is designed to allow you to explore the evidence base underpinning the development and implementation of effective interventions and policies aimed at sustainable improvements in health and wellbeing, including in diverse organisational settings.
