Wes O’Brien: Move, Grow and Thrive: Evidence‑Based Strategies to Boost Youth Physical Activity and Motor Skills

Combining insights from contemporary movement science and practical experience in youth physical activity promotion, this session will outline evidence‑based recommendations for developing movement skills in childhood and adolescence. Wesley will unpack recent research relating to best‑practice approaches to frequency, intensity, time, and type of movement, and explore how parents, educators, and community leaders can support active, confident young people in an increasingly sedentary and digitally changing world.
