The International Confederation of Sport and Exercise Science Practice (ICSESP) published the 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 in March 2026.
Launched in May 2024, the project brought together world leading expertise through a dedicated Steering Committee and an international Working Group representing 16 countries.
Using a rigorous, 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 and consensus-driven approach, experts have collaborated to shape standards that reflect 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 across diverse regions and professional contexts.
This initiative marks a significant step forward in strengthening 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 and 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 for 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, providing a strong foundation for the future growth and development of the profession worldwide.
ISESA Chair Tom Comyns PhD OLY and ISESA Board Member and Accreditations Committee Chair Kate Pumpa were both involved in shaping these standards.
